By Cheryl Procaccini
moon, how did it feel
to rest in earth’s shadow as
stardust gazed at you?
(inspired by this year’s lunar eclipse)
i can touch a cloud
in the drop of rain that lands
softly on my hand
hoo, h’HOO, hoo, hoo
distant deep soft hoots respond
great horned owl duet
stomping sound. three deer
spring down hill, trot through grass, then
stop. gazes exchanged.
